Description
The Prairie Art Alliance will host ArtLiterations (art, authors and aesthetically pleasing sounds) The upcoming program will feature Prairie Art Alliance Emerging Artist Immanuel Ahiable reading prose and discussing his painting Cease Fire and other works. The featured author will be Lisa Higgs, who will read from her recently released chapbook, Unintentional Guide to the Big City (Red Bird Chapbooks). Lisa's work has been published in numerous literary journals - including Crab Orchard Review, Water~Stone Review, Midwestern Gothic and PMS: poemmemoirstory - and been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and an Illinois Arts Council Literary Award. Lodestar, her first chapbook, was published in 2011. Currently, Lisa teaches composition and creative writing at the University of Illinois Springfield and serves as a poetry reader for Quiddity International Literary Journal. Mark Russillo will be on hand to provide his brand of cool and classic jazz.
