Description
The 2015 Economic Outlook Breakfast on Monday, November 9, 2015 at UIS in the Public Affairs Center, 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. Each year, business leaders in Sangamon County gather at The Chamber’s Economic Outlook Breakfast to learn about the condition of our economy. A nationally recognized economist presents an overview of our national economy and how it will impact our local community. Global issues that drive U.S. economics and an outlook for investment markets will also be reviewed.
Congressman Darin LaHood will give some brief remarks about Economic Policies.
James Glassman, managing director and head economist for Commercial Banking, will provide market insights to help attendees better understand the changing economy and its impact on their business. He is a long-standing participant in the widely-followed Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Survey of Professional Forecasters and the National Association of Business Economists’ panel of macro-economic forecasters.
Additionally, results from the spring 2015 Sangamon County Business Economic Outlook Survey, which is conducted by the UIS Survey Research Office on behalf of The Chamber bi-annually, will be announced. Representatives from UIS and The Chamber will be available for comment.
