Seminar 1: Roles of Leadership, Management, & Authority
Wednesday, April 3, 2019
11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Lunch Sponsored by Chick-fil-A
This interactive workshop helps participants understand what leaders do for their organizations. We will discuss the four primary tasks of leadership and understand how they drive the critical organizational factor of employee engagement. This workshop will improve a leader’s situational awareness, discipline and courage. We will discuss leadership competencies that help increase employee engagement and motivation. Leaders looking to improve team dynamics, organizational culture, and employee morale should attend.
Seminar 2: Dealing with Difficult Team Members
Wednesday, April 24, 2019
11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Lunch sponsored by Subway
Dealing with difficult team members comes with the territory in any culture that relies on collaboration. Yet regardless of the attitudes and behaviors of the individual players, teams still have to produce. When team members share the same vision, work ethic and commitment, they can put ideas into action and handle any situation. While this is the work dynamic most teams want, not all team members are equally cooperative. This workshop enables participants to identify disruptive behaviors, and apply principles and techniques to keep things moving in a positive direction. Participants learn principles and skills to move through challenging moments proactively rather than defensively.
Seminar 3: Managing Stress
Wednesday, May 22, 2019
11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Lunch sponsored by Subway
Many of us have had the experience of feeling very stressed out and worried about a situation on one day, then calmer and more positive a day or two later. Assuming that the situation itself remains worrisome, the only thing that has changed is our perspective. Many factors impact our stress perspective on a day-to-day basis, both factors within and outside of our control. Keeping stress in perspective impacts every area of our professional life, from self-discipline to relationships. In this workshop, we examine ways that we lose our perspective on stress and worry in our lives, and develop ways of getting our perspective back on track. We develop stress management strategies based on three pillars of perspective: physical, mental, and social.
