Job Description
Department: LeafGuard Central Illinois Sales
Reports To: LeafGuard Sales Manager, LeafGuard Branch General Manager
Summary: Presents Beldon Home Solutions and LeafGuard products directly to Home Owners and Home Improvement businesses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
  • Represents Company and products with a focus on integrity, quality, and service to our customers
  • Responsible for timely presentations, accurate estimates, and thorough detailed documentation
  • Follows instruction and directives as provided by the Sales Manager, General Manager, and Corporate
  • Thoroughly understands, practices, and adheres to the 10-Step sales training process
  • Thorough understanding of the Company story, products, processes, and installation techniques; becomes the expert
  • Maintains a professional image, i.e.; proper clothing, vehicle maintenance
  • Maintains a continuing focus on self-improvement in the sales process
  • Augments sales from company provided leads through contributing self-generated leads and referrals
  • Responsible for proper documentation of sales process paperwork; contracts; drawing; financial applications
  • Attends and participates during sales and general meetings
  • Responsible for maintaining sales presentation products and necessary forms and documentation
  • Ability to interface with General Manager, Sales Manager, Production Manager, and Office Administration
  • Ensures adherence to company administrative policies and procedures
  • Maintains confidentiality with proprietary Company information as well as customer information
  • Knows the formal and informal goals, standards, policies, and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments and is sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the organization
  • Availability to work evenings during the week and Saturdays as required
  • Responsible for thorough communications between customers and facility management

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required to perform the essential functions.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience
Language Skills:
  • Ability to present information and speak effectively before customers, managers, and employees of the organization
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from customers
  • Above average reading and writing skills required
  • Strong professional phone and excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to measure, draw, calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations to practical situations
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
  • Able to retain and protect confidential information
Computer Skills:
  • To perform this job successfully, a company provided i-Pad is provided with a basic understanding of operation
  • The individual should have knowledge of Internet software; PowerPoint, and Word Processing software
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current driver’s license
Other Skills and Abilities: Job requires a unique balance of sales and customer service skills
Other Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and employees is particularly important in this role
