Tournament Sales Representative

Job Description
The Lincoln Land Charity Championship is an official Web.com Tour event on the PGA TOUR and presently has an opportunity for a Sales Representative position based in Springfield, Illinois.  This position will directly contribute to tournament sales efforts by generating revenue through hospitality packages and sponsorships sales.  Ideal candidates will be individuals with a sales focused career path who are relentless in their pursuit of revenue generation.  A proven track record of sales and a network of relationships that can be converted to tournament clients will be vital.
 
Qualified candidates will have the following:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Sales, Marketing or other related fields
  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience
  • Experience in planning and executing events preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create customize, dynamic visual presentations (sample work required)
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
·        Successfully drive revenue through the sale of tournament assets
·        Identify and create new revenue opportunities for the Lincoln Land Charity Championship
·        Work with team including volunteers to achieve tournament revenue objectives
·        Oversee fulfillment of contracted benefits for partners including tickets, advertising, branding, etc.
·        Develop a robust pipeline and manage weekly sales activities including outbound calls, in-person appointments, contracts and networking functions
  • Generate internal sales reports using CRM and validate the data to ensure that all sales are captured accurately
  • Assist with the post-sale process to include: wrap-up reports, feedback/critiques, invoicing, client relations, merchandising/inventory control, etc.
  • Support tournament team during tournament week by interacting with all existing partners and hosting new business prospects
·        Engage clients throughout the year and gain a true understanding of their business
·        Work collaboratively with all aspects of organization to ensure best client experience
·        Attend various community and charitable functions as a representative of the Lincoln Land Charity Championship.
