DESCRIPTION:Illinois Times\, located at 1240 S. 6th St. Springfield\, IL will be hosting a Ribbon Cutting/Open House on May 28th at 4:00 p.m.  This event will be held to celebrate the launch of Local Journalism Matters\, which is the new nonprofit organization for Illinois Times and Springfield Business Journal. This new endeavor\, with your support\, will create the daily news source our community deserves.  Please join them for the Ribbon Cutting at 4:00 p.m. followed by an Open House from 4:00 p.m.   6:00 p.m. to say thank you to Fletcher Farrar for his 48 years of dedicated service to community journalism. The new Local Journalism Matters CEO\, Kate McKenzie\, will also be in attendance to share their vision for the future of news in our region.
