United Way to Host “Power of Community” Trivia Night

Springfield, IL – United Way of Central Illinois invites community members to test their knowledge and join in the fun at its annual Trivia Night on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Firefighters Lake Club, located at 940 W Lake Shore Drive, Springfield. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the trivia competition kicks off at 7:00 PM.

This year’s event, themed “Power of Your Community,” will feature an evening of friendly competition, prizes, and opportunities to support the impactful work of United Way in strengthening the local community. Participants are encouraged to get creative with their table decor as part of the Table Decorating Contest, where they can “power their table with fun decor” to match the theme.

The cost to participate is $160 per table of 8, making it a perfect opportunity for friends, family, or coworkers to come together for a great cause. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit United Way’s efforts to improve education, financial stability, and health outcomes across Central Illinois.

“Trivia Night is always a highlight of the year for our community,” said Marne Fauser, President & CEO of United Way of Central Illinois. “It’s a wonderful way to bring people together, celebrate the power of collective action, and support our mission to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”

The event will also feature a cash bar, raffles, and plenty of surprises throughout the evening. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and food to share with their table. Space is limited, so participants are encouraged to reserve their table early to secure their spot.
