Pictures move, stories unfold, and music comes alive in this visually inspired program. The U.S. premiere of Deutsch's Con Moto ("with motion") sets the stage for an evening of energy, imagination, and transformation. World-renowned pianist Jeremy Denk takes center stage in Bartók's electrifying Piano Concerto No. 2, a dazzling display of virtuosity, rhythm, and orchestral color. The journey concludes with Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, brilliantly orchestrated by Ravel, transforming a gallery of paintings into a breathtaking musical adventure filled with vivid characters, sweeping landscapes, and unforgettable sonic imagery.
