This workshop introduces the foundations of project management and the critical activities that occur before project work begins. Learners explore the five phases of the project management life cycle, distinguish project work from operational work, and examine how successful projects begin with a clear purpose, defined goals, stakeholder alignment and realistic expectations. Through a case study-based experience, participants practice identifying stakeholders, defining success criteria, recognizing project constraints and creating a project charter that serves as the foundation for project planning and execution.
