    Description
It’s a good year for husband-and-wife writing, singing, recording, and performing team Bobby Whitlock and CoCo Carmel!
Bobby Whitlock is a quintessential southern blues/soul singer with an incredible musical history that includes being the first white artist signed to the Stax Hip label (at age 16) and becoming the first "friend" in the group Delaney & Bonnie & Friends. Bobby later joined Eric Clapton as a member of blues-rock band Derek and the Dominos, becoming a formidable writing team and recording Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, considered to be one of the most influential records in the history of rock-n-roll.
CoCo Carmel began her career in London, England, touring Europe for a decade before moving back to her home state of California. She has been married to Bobby Whitlock since 2005, producing and co-producing many records including her own 2010 solo record First Fruit.
