East-Bound Capitol To Close For CWLP Electric Work
Beginning Tuesday, March 19, east-bound lanes of Capitol Avenue will be closed between 9th and 11th Streets for CWLP’s contractor to complete electric circuit relocation work necessary for the high speed rail road project. This closure is expected to be in place until April 2nd. In the event of inclement weather, this work will be delayed and rescheduled.Motorists should plan to take alternative routes to avoid delays and should slow down and drive with caution around this work zone.
Electric Outage Planned For Downtown
Tomorrow morning, Tuesday, March 19, electric service is planned to be interrupted in an area downtown beginning at 5:00 a.m., which is planned to last less than 30 minutes to accommodate electric repairs to improve reliability. Around 100 electric customers will be impacted in an area from Washington Street to Monroe Street between 6th and 8th Streets approximately.Motorists are reminded to treat all traffic lights not functioning as a stop sign and to drive safe around roadway work zones.
