Area students are looking for first hand resources to understand the career opportunities right here in Sangamon County and we want to help them! If you love your job and would like the chance to share your passion with high school students, join our Career Connections database.

By signing up to be in our Career Connections database, you're agreeing to be available for a 30 minutes interview by an area student who are looking to understand if your profession is something they're interested in pursuing. Students are also looking for opportunity to job shadow (and many schools are requiring this for graduation) and would love to spend 3-4 hours at your business learning more about what you do. Students are interested in what you like (and don't) about your job and the education or experience path you took to get there. We'll have question prompts available to help direct conversation if needed but ultimately it's a casual discussion about a future a student is interested in. 

This database isn't limited to traditional "professional" positions. We want to have a true representation of the areas of opportunities in our community. Everything from healthcare to transportation, business services to entrepreneurs are professions that students are considering and we need you to be part of the database!
