Description
Close the season with a program of triumph, joy, and transcendent beauty. Carlos Simon's Fate Now Conquers opens the evening with a powerful meditation on perseverance and destiny, inspired by Beethoven's own words of determination. J.S. Bach's radiant Magnificat follows, bringing together orchestra, chorus, and soloists in a magnificent celebration of hope and praise. The season concludes with Brahms' Symphony No. 2, a masterpiece of warmth, lyricism, and serene beauty, bringing the Illinois Symphony Orchestra's season to a stirring and uplifting finale.
