Description
The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and Dale Carnegie Training are partnering to offer “Powerful People Skills”, a leadership development series for members only. Each seminar will be presented by Steve Garland.
Seminar 2: Leadership, Management, & Authority
Everyone is a leader regardless of their position. Leadership is usually assumed to be positive, but unfortunately leadership can also be negative. In this seminar, we will discuss the four primary tasks of leadership and understand how they drive the critical organizational factor of employee engagement. Participants will leave with an understanding of the differences between leadership, management and authority. We will discuss leadership competencies that help improve a leader’s situational awareness, discipline and courage, leading to increased employee engagement and motivation. Leaders at all levels looking to improve team dynamics, organizational culture, or employee morale should attend.
