Experience the spirit of America in Simple Gifts featuring George Walker’s touching Lyric for Strings; Ernest Bloch’s energetic Concerto Grosso No. 1, where Baroque form meets 20th-century boldness; and Aaron Copland’s iconic Appalachian Spring. Copland’s masterwork evokes the promise of new beginnings from its pastoral calm to the beloved variations on “Simple Gifts,” capturing the optimism of frontier life and American possibility!
