Position Overview:
Downtown Springfield, Inc. (DSI) is seeking an experienced and community-minded Executive Director to lead the organization's operations, strategy, and growth.

Reporting directly to the DSI Executive Board, this role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, financial management, staff leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of administrative or association management experience, a strong understanding of non-profit management, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with city officials, community partners, and the public.

Relevant experience and community involvement will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Candidates must reside in Springfield, Illinois or the surrounding area. This role requires a visible, active presence in the community and ongoing local engagement. The ideal candidate will be a fully invested community partner, and success in this position is measured in part by the depth and authenticity of that community involvement.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who is deeply rooted in — or eager to become an integral part of — the Springfield, Illinois community.
 
Salary range for this role is $70,000 - $100,000
