Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures installing components, units, subassemblies, wiring, crimping, soldering, plugging, stripping, routing, inspecting, and potting.
Attach ends of wires to components, connectors, plugs, or terminal strip using soldering iron or crimping device.
The assembler must be versatile, flexible, and able to work in other areas of the Production environment when necessary.
Must be able to interpret and explain assembly drawings, parts lists (bill-of-materials), process routings, and work instructions.
Must have basic hand tool identification and experience (wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, soldering iron, etc.
Organize, clean, consolidate and maintain work area(s). Appling the 5S principles
Helps establishes, adjusts, or suggest improvements in work procedures to best meet production quality and schedules.
Makes suggestions for changes in processes, procedures, and equipment, to increase efficiency, reduce costs and or labor. Become knowledgeable in the 20 Keys for Manufacturing.
Assists coworkers in identifying and resolving assembly related issues that arise. Initiates and/or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Performs machine setups, fixturing, and test equipment. Reports immediately any machine and/or equipment malfunctions to appropriate staff.
Must follow all safety rules and work to maintain their own and their co-worker’s physical safety at all times.

Education and/or Experience
One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy/procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
