What products and services does your business offer?
For the people of Central Illinois, Memorial Health is more than a health system; it's a partner. When a health crisis strikes, Springfield Memorial Hospital is ready. As a major teaching hospital, it handles everything from emergencies and surgery to intensive care and complex diagnostics. But Memorial Health's commitment to the community doesn't stop there. Long before illness takes hold, our primary care clinics are quietly doing some of the most important work: routine checkups, wellness visits, and helping patients manage chronic conditions before they become crises. For those facing more serious diagnoses, Memorial Health offers specialized expertise in heart care, cancer treatment, women's health, neurology, orthopedics, and many more. For those struggling with mental health or substance use, our behavioral health programs offer real support without judgment. Whether it's an urgent care visit on a Sunday afternoon, a rehabilitation program after surgery, care at home during recovery, or a telehealth call when leaving the house isn't easy, Memorial Health is built around one simple mission: To improve lives and build stronger communities through better health.
What is one thing you'd like for people to know about your business?
As a colleague, I could not ask for a better employer and team. Shout out to the Planning and Business Development department! Memorial Health isn’t just where Springfield turns when someone is sick; it’s where the community turns to grow stronger. What sets Memorial apart is its belief that real healthcare extends beyond clinic walls. Memorial Health works not only with patients and their families, but also with employees, local businesses, schools, and community organizations to support the well-being of the entire region. These are not regular partnerships; they are deliberate, ongoing relationships built around a shared goal. Through these collaborations, Memorial works to expand access to care for those who need it most, invest in workforce development, and drive initiatives that create lasting community impact. At the heart of it all is a simple but powerful mission: Memorial Health wants to be the partner of choice.
The Ambassadors are The Chamber's membership committee. Committee members work to increase awareness of Chamber activities and programs to potential and current members. Ambassadors also serve as Chamber representatives at events such as ribbon cuttings, Chamber on Tap, and Coffee & Connections. If interested in learning more about how to become an Ambassador, contact David Earhart at dearhart@gscc.org or (217) 525-1173 ext. 215.
