What products and services does your business offer?

Hanson’s mission is to help our clients succeed in meeting their business- or government-sector goals by providing quality professional engineering, planning and allied services while protecting the public and environment.  Additionally, we provide our clients with environmentally sensitive options through our knowledge and implementation of sustainable design practices.

We are proud to be an employee-owned company.  As a full-service consulting firm, Hanson provides a wide range of engineering, planning and allied services.  Hanson provides services from six strategic markets: aviation, government, industry, infrastructure, power and railway.

Our firm has completed projects in every U.S. state and nearly 100 projects in more than 40 countries around the world.  Hanson has received a variety of corporate, project and leadership awards.

What is one thing you’d like for people to know about your business?

Besides being a proud employee-owned company and our unwavering devotion to our local communities and charities.  We offer several student opportunities including Grow our Own Program. As part of the Grow Our Own Minority Participation Program, we partner with the city of Springfield and Sangamon County to educate and ultimately employ minority youth in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers. The program was developed in 2013 to address a need for more participation in the Springfield Rail Improvements Project by local minorities and disadvantaged business owners. Hanson and other program sponsors realized that mentoring and investing in Springfield’s minority talent would enrich the community and bolster its future.

The Ambassadors are The Chamber's membership committee. Committee members work to increase awareness of Chamber activities and programs to potential and current members. Ambassadors also serve as Chamber representatives at events such as ribbon cuttings, Chamber on Tap, and Coffee & Connections. If interested in learning more about how to become an Ambassador, contact David Earhart at dearhart@gscc.org or (217) 525-1173 ext. 215.
