Memorial Health has named electrician Andrew Squires as the April Colleague of the Month for System Resources.
Squires joined Memorial Health in April 2021 and is a key member of the engineering team, where he supports critical electrical systems that keep facilities operating safely and reliably. Colleagues say his blend of technical expertise, calm under pressure and pride in his workmanship sets the standard.
“Andrew is the heart and soul of the electric shop in engineering,” wrote the nominator. “He draws the best out of those who work around him and is a true craftsman when installing or repairing equipment.”
Known for his work ethic, Squires is often the first to respond when an issue arises. He anticipates needs before they become problems, addressing repairs and improvements early so operations remain smooth, and patient care is not disrupted.
Squires is also recognized as a champion for safety. He carefully plans each task, ensures proper personal protective equipment is used and never leaves a job unfinished or below his personal standards. Colleagues say his work is easy to recognize throughout the facility because everything is precise, consistent and built to last.
