Berry celebrates 30 years at Hanson

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Darrel Berry, manager of Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s corporate communications department, recently celebrated 30 years of service at the firm’s Springfield headquarters.

Berry joined the company in 1995. He provides services for and oversees the production of marketing materials, employee newsletters, Hanson’s blogs and social media, presentations, advertising, videos and websites for the company and clients. He also assists with public-involvement activities for projects and guides the planning and presentation production for Hanson’s annual shareholder and employee meeting.

Under his leadership, the corporate communications department received four awards of distinction in the film/video/television, integrated campaign, virtual and remote and websites categories for the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts’ 28th Communicator Awards in 2022; four awards of distinction in the corporate communications, film/video/television and websites categories for the 25th Communicator Awards in 2019; third place in the special event marketing campaign category of ZweigWhite’s The Zweig Letter 2013 Marketing Communications Excellence Awards; and an Award of Excellence in the 2012 Communicator Awards.

Berry received a bachelor’s degree in graphic design in 1990 from Indiana State University. He is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services.
