Dalaynee Harris, a senior buyer in Purchasing with Memorial Health System Resources, has been named September Colleague of the Month.
Colleagues appreciate Harris for her attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the correct supplies and implants are available for patient care. Harris was recently contacted by another department and asked to modify a purchase order so it would match the products that had been received. Harris took an extra step and contacted the ordering department to verify the products originally ordered were the items it needed.
Her diligence helped preserve the accuracy of the purchasing process and ensure the correct supplies and implants would be available for patient care. Her actions also prevented potential issues that could have resulted in canceled surgical cases.
“Dalaynee consistently demonstrates critical thinking, accountability and a strong commitment to doing things the right way,” wrote the nominator. “Her dedication, sound judgment and attention to detail make her a valuable member of our team.”
