New Members
HSHS St. John’s Hospital’s Board of Directors includes local community members whose talents, experience and passion assist St. John’s leadership in meeting area health care needs. Board members volunteer their time, providing counsel and oversight on decisions that positively affect St. John’s sustainable future and advance the hospital’s Mission.
St. John’s Hospital recently welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors: Brandi Borries of Shelbyville and Dr. Joseph Conlon and Robert Mizeur, both of Springfield.
“We are proud to welcome Brandi, Joseph and Robert to St. John’s Board of Directors,” said Brian Brennan, President and CEO of HSHS St. John’s Hospital. “Their leadership, experience and commitment to the Mission of Hospital Sisters Health System will strengthen our organization and support our continued focus on high-quality, compassionate care for our community.”
- Borries currently serves as Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Springfield. Borries brings more than 20 years of educational experience, serving 16 of those in leadership roles, and serves on the boards of six Catholic high schools, as well as the Tracy Family Foundation and St. Patrick Catholic School in Springfield. She provides strong governance and mission-focused leadership.
- Dr. Conlon currently serves as a Medical Director of Springfield Clinic, where he also serves as a pediatric dermatologist, and is a clinical instructor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. Dr. Conlon’s work history includes three years of clinical experience at HSHS St. John’s Hospital as a cardiac catheterization lab technician. His experience provides valuable insight into patient care and hospital operations.
- Mizeur brings more than 30 years of senior-level banking experience and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Regional Banking at Hickory Point Bank & Trust in Springfield. He spent 20 years working in the banking industry in Chicago before returning to Springfield in 2012. An active community member, Mizeur also served as chair of the HSHS St. John’s Foundation Leadership Council. He offers a strong local and financial perspective to St. John’s Board of Directors.
