Eric Ihnen, a patient experience liaison, is the Memorial Health System Resources Colleague of the Month for December.
After helping a patient, Ihnen stepped up to assist with transport of another patient who needed a scan as soon as possible. The patient was accompanied by several poles and pumps, which made the transport challenging.
“Eric assisted in the transport, which helped to get the patient moved quickly and safely,” wrote his nominator. “I was thankful he stayed. Great patient experience leads to better health outcomes, and I have no doubt that his staying to assist with transport led to a quicker scan and follow-up care.”
Ihnen has worked for Memorial Health since 2013.
