From January 16 to January 22, portions of Koke Mill Road will be closed periodically to accommodate roadway and structural boring testing by Public Works’ contractor Midwest Engineering and Testing, Inc. This work is necessary for a road improvement project planned for Koke Mill Road from Old Jacksonville Road to Washington Street.
Specific closures are as follows:
- On January 16 and 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Koke Mill Road will be closed between Cash River Road and Victoria Drive with limited access available for properties within that closure from the south. There will be no access from the north.
- On January 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, Koke Mill Road will be fully closed between Victoria Road and Washington Street. Access will only be allowed in this segment for the properties located within the closure limits.
- On Wednesday January 22nd, Koke Mill Road will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction from Koke Mill Road to Washington Street. Flaggers will be in place to temporarily stop traffic in each direction.
Drivers are advised to use caution when proceeding in construction zones and to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
