LLCU Annual Community Impact Report Released Highlighting Summary of Community Reinvestment Efforts in 2024

Decatur, Illinois, January 31st, 2025 – Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) released their 2024 Community Impact Report this week highlighting community reinvestment and volunteer efforts committed by LLCU in 2024. The report summarizes that in 2024, LLCU staff volunteered 2,402 hours to local non-profit organizations and provided $232,974 in community donations to non-profit agencies throughout central Illinois. With the donations and the volunteer hours combined, over 160 local non-profit agencies were impacted by LLCU’s 2024 Community Impact efforts. Additionally, LLCU staff provided over 2,800 hours of Financial Literacy education to community members over the last two years alone.

The full 2024 LLCU Community Impact Report details impact made on LLCU members, employees, and the community. In the last five years combined, LLCU has made over $980,000 in charitable donations to the local communities in their footprint, and LLCU staff has volunteered 10,424 hours to local community organizations. LLCU has been recognized for efforts with several awards including CUNA Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award (2024, 2023, 2021, & 2019), Community Involvement Business of the Year Vandalia (2024), Credit Union Financial Education Network (CUFEN) 1st Place Award Most Adults Reached (2024), Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce Community Contributor Award (Winner 2022, & Finalist 2021), Boys & Girls Club Philanthropist of the Year (2021), Mt. Zion Chamber Outstanding Business of the Year Award (2019), and the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award (2018).
