Prevent Child Abuse Illinois, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital will commemorate the start of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month at a joint press conference.
The Springfield Mayor will join with local organizations and advocates to promote resources to prevent child abuse in our communities. Following the press conference, attendees are encouraged to participate in planting blue pinwheels on the hospital lawn in support of child abuse prevention.
