Solid Rock Youth Transitional Services, Inc., a Springfield-based nonprofit committed to ending homelessness for youth in and aging out of the foster care system, is proud to present the Bright Futures Brunch—a vibrant, community-focused fundraising event. The brunch will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the UIS Student Union Ballroom, located at 2251 Richard Wright Dr., Springfield, IL 62703.
The Bright Futures Brunch is an afternoon of purpose, connection, and celebration—bringing together community members, advocates, and supporters to raise awareness and resources for some of the city’s most vulnerable youth. Guests will enjoy delicious food, live music, inspiring speakers, an exciting auction, and more, all in support of helping young people transition into stable and successful adulthoods. Last year’s sold-out brunch raised over $10,000 in support of youth aging out of foster care—a powerful testament to the generosity and commitment of our community. With the momentum from that success, we’re anticipating an even bigger turnout this year and an even greater impact.
With the recent start of their Solid Start Day Program and 9 new youth participants, Solid Rock is thrilled to invite the public to learn more about their impact and vision for growth at this special event.
“The Bright Futures Brunch is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of resilience, community, and possibility,” said Marscia Anderson, Founder of Solid Rock. “We invite Springfield to stand with us as we build a future where no young person has to face the transition to adulthood alone.”
