Springfield’s CLP Insurance Solutions Fulfills Founder’s Vision with Launch of “Give Back” Community Grant

Cheri Plummer, a 16-year veteran of the insurance industry, is turning a career-long dream into a reality. Today, CLP Insurance Solutions LLC officially announces the CLP Give Back Community Grant, a program that will transform 2026 business success into direct financial support for Springfield-area nonprofits in 2027.

When Cheri Plummer opened the doors to her independent agency in November 2024, she did so with a specific mission: to build a business that serves as a pillar for the local community. Having spent over a decade and a half volunteering for various local organizations, Plummer saw firsthand the impact of consistent local funding.

“When I dreamed of owning my own agency that dream included a grant program and it wouldn't just be an 'extra'—it would be a core part of how we do business,” says Plummer. “My 16 plus years in this industry taught me that insurance is about protecting people, but my work with our local nonprofits taught me that community is what sustains us.  “I’ve seen firsthand the gaps in our community when it comes to keeping kids safe, families housed, and tables full,” says Plummer. “When I opened CLP Insurance Solutions, the goal wasn't just to sell policies; it was to create a sustainable way to fuel the organizations that do the heavy lifting in Springfield. This grant ensures that our success as an agency is 100% tied to the success of our neighbors.”

The Road to 2027
The "Give Back" program links the agency's 2026 performance directly to the community’s benefit:

• 2026 Participation: Throughout the 2026 fiscal year, a portion of the revenue from every new and renewed policy at CLP Insurance Solutions will be set aside for the grant fund.
• 2027 Distribution: In early 2027, the application window will open to Springfield-based 501(c)(3) organizations.
