Temporary Closure of Cook Street at 3rd Street for Railroad Repairs

The City of Springfield is notifying residents and motorists of a temporary road closure on Cook Street at the 3rd Street railroad tracks. This permitted closure is necessary to allow for the scheduled completion of track repairs.
 
The closure will begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15, and is anticipated to reopen by 7:00 am on Thursday, July 17.
 
A signed detour route will be posted to guide traffic around the construction area. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and seek alternative routes during the closure period to avoid congestion and delays.
