Springfield Area Arts Council’s Silent Auction Goes Live Tomorrow Supporting Local Arts Programs through Fun and Fundraising

    Springfield, IL – The Springfield Area Arts Council (SAAC) is excited to announce the launch of its silent auction for the Art of the 90s Trivia Night, going live tomorrow, September 20, 2024, at 7 AM. Open to the public, the auction offers a variety of items—many from local businesses—with proceeds helping to sustain the arts council’s efforts to bring creative and cultural experiences to the Springfield community.
    
    Proceeds from the auction directly support the council’s many programs, such as Mayor's Awards for the Arts, First Night Springfield, and Arts in Education, which funds arts programming in schools throughout the area. By participating, bidders not only get the chance to win local experiences like dining at Springfield’s favorite restaurants, unique services, and artwork from local artists, but they also play a vital role in keeping the arts alive and accessible in SAAC’s service area of Sangamon and Menard counties.

    The auction coincides with SAAC’s second annual Art of the 90s Trivia Night, taking place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Ace Sign Co. Sign Museum; doors open at 5 PM and trivia begins at 6 PM. Tickets can be purchased online. Proceeds from the silent auction and trivia night will ensure that SAAC can continue offering enriching programs that celebrate creativity and provide re-granting opportunities to local organizations.

    Bidding opens tomorrow at 7 AM and will remain live until 8:30 PM September 28, the evening of the Trivia Night event. Participants can start bidding online, and winners do not need to attend Trivia Night to claim their items.
