Tickets Now on Sale for the Springfield Area Arts Council’s “Art of the 90s” Trivia Night

    Springfield, IL – August 20, 2024 – Calling all 90s enthusiasts! The Springfield Area Arts Council (SAAC) is thrilled to announce that tickets are now on sale for the highly anticipated “Art of the 90s” Trivia Night. The event will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 6 P.M. at the Ace Sign Co. Sign Museum in Springfield. Tickets are $20 per person.

    This nostalgic and fun-filled evening will explore how the 90s shaped the art world we know today, with questions designed to challenge even the most ardent trivia buffs. Doors open at 5 P.M., giving participants time to check out the silent auction, settle in, and enjoy the atmosphere before the trivia action kicks off. “Art of the 90s” Trivia Night marks SAAC’s second annual Trivia Night, and is hosted by Quizanator Troy Roark, a former SAAC Board President.

    Attendees can look forward to a silent auction featuring a variety of items and experiences, with all proceeds supporting the Springfield Area Arts Council’s mission, including programs like Artist in the Park, Friday Night Jazz & Blues, and the Mayor’s Awards for the Arts. The silent auction will open online on Friday, September 20th at 7 A.M. and ends on Saturday, September 28th at 8:30 P.M. Items can be viewed in person on September 28th at 5 P.M. when doors open for trivia night. Items have been donated by local artists, businesses, and others who support our mission of enriching the community through the arts.

    Guests are encouraged to dress in their freshest 90s attire and bring their own snacks to enjoy throughout the night. A cash bar will be available to keep the refreshments flowing.

    “Our community’s response to recent events like Shakespeare in the Park has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Springfield Area Arts Council Executive Director Bella Szabo. “We are excited to offer another opportunity for people to come together, have fun, and support the arts. This Trivia Night is going to be an entertaining evening of friendly competition!”

    Tickets for the “Art of the 90s” Trivia Night are expected to sell quickly. Only 20 tables are available, each seating 10 participants, so space is limited.
